About the Journal

The Research in Physical Education, Sport and Health (RPESH) journal is an international, peer-reviewed scientific publication established in 2012 by the Faculty of Physical Education, Sport and Health at “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. RPESH is dedicated to publishing high-quality research in kinesiology, sport, and health, fostering interdisciplinary approaches that connect related scientific fields.


Scope and Purpose

RPESH provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to share:

  • Original studies, comprehensive reviews, and professional insights in general and applied kinesiology.
  • Research from related disciplines, including anthropology, psychology, pedagogy, biology, medicine, public health, law, economics, urban planning, ecology, and management, as they intersect with kinesiology.

This interdisciplinary scope reflects RPESH’s commitment to advancing knowledge and promoting collaboration across diverse academic fields.


Publication Schedule and Language

RPESH publishes two issues annually, in January and June, with flexibility to include supplemental issues when necessary.

  • Articles are published in English, with abstracts available in both English and Macedonian to ensure accessibility to a broad international audience.

Editorial Standards and Peer Review

The journal follows a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to uphold objectivity and ensure high scientific standards.

  • Submissions are reviewed by distinguished experts from both domestic and international academic communities.
  • Manuscripts must meet the journal’s submission criteria, as detailed in the Guidelines for Authors, which are available online.

Global Reach and Indexing

RPESH is actively engaged in indexing efforts to enhance its visibility and impact in the international research community.

  • The journal is indexed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and EBSCO databases, with ongoing efforts to expand its presence in other prominent indexing platforms.
  • Authors from all countries are encouraged to submit their work, contributing to RPESH’s global perspective and academic diversity.

Submissions

Manuscripts are accepted throughout the year and can be submitted via the Submission Portal.

  • Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality and ethical compliance of their work.

Invitation to Collaborate

We invite researchers, practitioners, and academics to explore our Current Issue and Archive, or to join our growing academic community by submitting high-quality research for publication.

Year of First Issue: 2012

Covered fields: Kinesiology, anthropology, psychology, pedagogy, biology, medicine, public health and health care, history, law, economics, civil engineering, urban planning, ecology, computer science, management and the like.
Right of use: The entire text of the publications published on the website, can be used free for personal or educational purpose, with regard for the copyrights of the authors and the publishers. The scholars and the students who use the electronic text shall specifically indicate in their papers the origin of the bibliographic datum from the journal issue

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
