DEVELOPMENTAL CHANGES IN EXPLOSIVE FORCES IN STUDENTS OF BOTH SEXES BETWEEN THE AGES OF 6 TO 14 YEARS

Seryozha Gontarev, Vujica Zivkovic, Nebojsa Markovski

On a sample of 4162 subjects, divided into 9 age categories male and female in the in the span of one calendar year was conducted basic research to determine the developmental tendency of the explosive strength of the lower limb. Motor test “jump out of place” was applied as a goal of the study. To determine the results basic statistical parameters were used, while the differences between age categories and the sex was determined by multivariate and univariant analysis of variance (MANOVA and ANOVA) and LSD – test. The explosive power of the lower extremities evaluated with the test “jump out of place” continually increase in both sexes. Growth is not linear in all age categories, but shows periods of faster and slower intensity. In girls the greatest acceleration of explosive strength is observed between 11th and 12th year of age, when the average respondents improve scores for 10.59 cm. In boys the greatest acceleration is observed between 13th and 14th year of age. Boys in all age groups showed better results in the motoric test jump from place, and these differences increase with increasing age
