The purpose of the study was the analysis of changes occurring in the latent sphere in 249 boys under the influence of transformational processes. The analysed changes were defined as the variations of the structure of morphological space obtained through three measurement points. Between the measuring procedures a systematic transformational process had been implemented throughout 18 months. The boys were 7 years of age at the beginning of the treatment, conducted in one primary school. The variables utilized for effects monitoring were selected from the standard test battery aimed at assessing morphological characteristics. They served as the predictor system which was transformed into the optimal orthoblique position. Standing long jump was used as the criterion variable, aimed at assessing leg power. The data obtained were processed with standard regression analysis. The results indicated the set of the defined latent dimensions was statistically significant for the prediction of leg explosive power. Unfortunately, however, as far as the informative aspect is regarded, only a very small portion of the criterion was explained (5 %, 11 %, and 10 %). Therefore, kinesiological programmes, as regards the development of explosive features, should be planned and programmed in some other ways not connected directly with the morphological latent dimensions of children of this age.
