Jana Karshakovska Dimitrioska, Luka Popovski, Slavica Novachevska, Sasho Todorovski

On a group of 257 respondents divided into two subpopulations (124 female respondents and 157 male respondents), a survey was conducted on students aged between 18-22 with the main goal of determining the influence of some social factors on the level of physical activity among the students from the University "Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. 35 variables were used to achieve the research objectives. The obtained data are processed with appropriate multivariate and univariate parameters (variance analysis, canonical discriminant). The results of the survey indicate that educational programs and strategies should be aimed at increasing the social support from the closest people, parents and peers, increasing the level of perceived benefits to physical activity and reducing barriers.
